About Artist
Pietro Pisano
For many years, I dedicated myself to poetry, eventually publishing a book of verse. Photography came from a deep inner urgency, a need to turn silence, perception, and emotion into form. My work focuses on intention, composition, and above all, light. I am drawn to Architecture and urban spaces where light shapes structure, revealing geometry, rhythm, and quiet tension. Influenced by the poetic sensitivity of Saul Leiter, the graphic mastery of Fan Ho, the chromatic intensity of Harry Gruyaert and the minimalistic rigor of Alan Schaller, I explore shadow, contrast and the subtle dialogue between form and atmosphere. I look for interpretation rather than documentation, an encounter of presence and absence, shadow and illumination. For me, writing and photography are acts of attention and presence, a concrete way to inhabit the world and honor what might otherwise go unnoticed.
